'The Collections Project is a collaborative project between Guildhouse and the Art Gallery of South Australia. It provides South Australian artists the chance to work with the Gallery's collection, inviting fresh interpretations, developing new audiences for art and providing professional opportunities for artists.
Deidre But-Husaim is the first Collections Project participant at the Art Gallery of South Australia. Her work explores people looking at and experiencing art. In this series of paintings she has interpreted our brief encounters with works on display.
Guildhouse supports creative professionals through a program of information sessions, events and projects. By collaborating with creative institutions, businesses and the broader community we create opportunities and promote contemporary visual artists, craftspeople and designers.
Deidre's work can be seen in the Vestibule, Art Gallery of South Australia, North Terrace, Adelaide.
